Application

The INT69 SC2 Diagnosis motor protector is a further development of the reliable KRIWAN compressor protection unit INT69 SC2 with additional flexibly reacting protection functions for extending the service life of a refrigeration system. Of added value is the comprehensive diagnosis with data memory for quickly determining the cause in case of a malfunction.

The INT69 SC2 Diagnose automatically saves operational and error data in a nonvolatile memory. This data can be retrieved on a PC as needed and analysed for diagnosis. The full scope of the diagnosis is achieved by using KRIWAN-specific AMS sensors. The data recorded includes the operating times in each temperature range of the motor winding.

Functional description

At the measuring circuit input, it is possible to connect 1-2 AMS sensors or, alternatively, up to 9 PTC sensors acc. to DIN44081/44082, even with different nominal response temperatures. If the temperature in one of the monitored parts or sections exceeds the nominal response temperature of the respective PTC sensor, the sensor becomes highly resistive and the motor protector switches off. After the shut-down, there a time delay is started. During this time, the device remains locked. The relay is switched on when the time delay has expired or the mains supply is disrupted during this time for a pprox. 5 s (reset of running time). In both cases, the PTC resistance has to be below the reset point. If not, the reset will be further delayed until the monitored temperature has reached the reset point.
